Imagine strolling through an inviting open-air garden at sea, surrounded by lush greenery. Welcome to Central Park, an innovative living park featuring over 20,000 plants. Wonder of the Seas sailed on her maiden voyage in March 2022 from her Port Everglades, Florida, homeport. Luckily, the team also expected that something like this would happen, and there was plenty of staff on hand to help people as soon as possible.
BABY ONBOARD
You can eat here every night and have an array of options, or you can skip it for the extra-fee specialty restaurants and not feel like you've missed anything. If I had one regret about our cabin, it was that I spent next to no time on the enormous balcony. It had a dining table for four, surrounded by cushioned wicker chairs, as well as two even more cushy wicker chairs with footstools flanking a drinks table. It was the perfect spot to read a book or enjoy room service breakfast, but we were always on the go.

The boat's inaugural program (March 2022 through January 2023) included the following itineraries (themes, length, call ports), with prices in USD per person (Inside cabin rates with double occupancy). Wonder OTS is also the third Oasis-class liner with robot bartenders serving drinks at the Bionic Bar (introduced in 2014 on Quantum OTS). Wonder has bigger cabins than Allure and Oasis (in some categories) and windowless interior cabins (Virtual Balconies) offering real-time views (introduced in 2014 on Navigator OTS). In mid-September 2021 was announced that the ship's inaugural season will be in the Caribbean and Europe-Mediterranean. An in-suite slide, air hockey table, and table tennis on the balcony are featured in brightly colored spaces. From there, guests visit a myriad of Caribbean ports, from St. Maarten, St, Thomas, and St. Kitts, San Juan, and Nassau to Cozumel, Roatan, Labadee, Puerto Plata, and Falmouth.
ALL OUT. ALL DAY.
The exact cost of a cruise on Wonder of the Seas will depend on which cabin you book, time of year you sail, and how far in advance you book. Accessible staterooms are also available in most room categories, which come with extra space including wider doors, ramps, lowered sink and vanity, lowered storage and safe, etc. No matter which stateroom you choose, all cabins come with a private bathroom, television, vanity/desk area, dresser, couch or lounge chair, outlets, a mini fridge, and storage. Teens aged onboard Wonder of the Seas also have their own designated spaces. The teen areas of Adventure Ocean are less structured than those for other age groups, with teens free to come and go as they please. Other activities found on Wonder of the Seas include trivia, game shows, scavenger hunts, karaoke, pool games, and more.
Wonder of the Seas Features and Activities
Some are included in the cost of the cruise, while others have an additional charge. The Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas has a total of 5 pools and 4 hot tubs. There’s never a dull moment, whether it’s the thrill of the Ultimate Abyss, the marvel of high-diving AquaTheater shows, or the serene beauty of the Solarium. The ship presents a world of adventure and relaxation for families, couples, and solo travelers alike, ensuring every guest finds their perfect blend of excitement and tranquility. Active cruisers will find no shortage of activities in this city at sea.
Every large cruise ship suffers from the problem of overcrowded pools, but even three pools couldn't handle the sea-day crowds on Wonder. If you feel like taking a dip, know that you're going to share the pool with everyone from splashing, often unsupervised kids to adults on their first or fifth drink of the day. The sun deck was lovely, and if I hadn't been traveling with a young child who preferred the splash park, I'd have spent all my sun time lounging there. The concierges were a great help getting us show tickets and restaurant reservations, and whisking us off the ship in the easiest debarkation of all time.

Mexican agua frescas are also available here, the first ever offered on a Royal Caribbean ship. Dining package availability is limited, so it’s a good idea to book a dining package early via the Cruise Planner website. Both a 3-night Dining Package and Unlimited Dining Package may be available depending on the cruise. Specialty restaurant meals can be purchased individually or as part of a dining package. Purchasing a dining package allows you to try several different restaurants at a lower cost than purchasing each meal individually. The Suite Neighborhood offers an exclusive experience for guests looking to enhance their cruise experience, and can be a selling point for those deciding between booking a suite or not.
With its spacious and luxurious staterooms, multiple dining options, and exciting onboard activities, Wonder of the Seas is the ultimate floating resort. All other orders throughout the day and night will have an extra $7.95 delivery fee, per order. Royal Caribbean’s newest specialty dining concept, The Mason Jar, made its debut on Wonder of the Seas.
The 10-deck-high Atrium is marked a purple dragon statue spanning the entire Atrium. Numerous original artworks are displayed in every hallway and stairwell. Get FREE email communications from Fodor's Travel, covering must-see travel destinations, expert trip planning advice, and travel inspiration to fuel your passion. The Ultimate Family Suite is the standout among the ship suite accommodations. Wonder is the third Royal Caribbean ship to feature the Ultimate Family Suite. The Royal Promenade is where you’ll find the Bionic Bar, where two robotic arms mix and serve drinks to passengers.
Another odd choice is that the top of the Wonder Playscape climbing area opens onto the Wonder Dunes minigolf course. Because the whimsical, underwater-themed putting area is multicolored and not green, many families don't realize at first that it's a golf course, and little kids were climbing all over the obstacles. I was a fan of Giovanni's Wine Bar, with indoor and outdoor seating in Central Park; it was a romantic spot, as is the all-outdoor Trellis Bar nearby. I never got to ride the Rising Tide Bar and was disappointed, but it's not an interesting bar beyond its kitschy ability to levitate. Book early for a reservation or come off-hours for a seat at the bar.
If you're interested in the Ultimate Family Suite, book early; despite the high price tag that starts around $25,000 a week -- and up -- these rooms, which come with Royal Genie butler service, do sell out. Rooms on Wonder of the Seas run the gamut from economical inside rooms, outside cabins with oversized windows, balcony cabins and suites. But within those categories are a wide array of room choices not normally found on most cruise ships.
My daughter and I spent an hour ice skating, and I would have attempted to summit the rock wall if it hadn't been closed due to high winds when we had time to go. Wonder of the Seas currently holds the title of largest cruise ship in the world. It carries 5,734 guests at double occupancy (i.e., if every cabin held only two people) and 6,988 passengers when completely full. Add roughly 2,200 crew members, and you could be sailing on a ship with 9,000-plus people on board. Wonder of the Seas also has a wide selection of specialty dining venues.
Currently, Wi-Fi packages with streaming bandwidth start at $17.99 per day per device; however, prices do change over time. If you're traveling with family or sharing a room with friends, look for multidevice packages that are less expensive on a per-device basis. Certain suite guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi, so know your included perks before you sign up for a package.
The pool deck on Wonder of the Seas will also feature the largest poolside movie screen on a Royal Caribbean ship. Wonder of the Seas' waterslides are naturally a big draw for kids (of all ages). The mega-ship also boasts the line's signature FlowRider, a fun surf simulator, plus two large main pools, a third pool away from the main ones, a splash pool for little ones, plus the Solarium's adults-only pool.
